MEET EMILY

Emily A.D. Johnson is the Vice President of Strategic Communications for Last Word Strategies. She brings her experience in political communications and media relations working on candidate and issue campaigns, and in both the public and private sector. 

Johnson has worked for the Louisiana Democratic Coordinated Campaign, the Illinois State Board of Education, Governor JB Pritzker's campaign, the Vote Yes for Fairness ballot initiative, and more. 

Originally from Cleveland, Johnson comes to New Orleans by way of Chicago with a degree in English and Writing from DePaul University. She has a Midwestern work ethic, a love of Louisiana, and complex feelings about Tennessee Williams’ famous quote. After reading this bio, you know which one.
